BloomsYard lands in Broadgate

BloomsYard lands in Broadgate

The pedestrianisation of Soho allowed 90 per cent of hospitality businesses in the area to reopen last summer. As restrictions begin to ease and restaurants can open their doors again, a further 60 streets in Covent Garden, Marylebone, Oxford Circus and more will be car-free zones – a lifeline for hospitality businesses without any outdoor space.

“sacred place when you need time away from the hustle and bustle of city life.”

Taking advantage of Broadgate in the City’s status as the largest pedestrianised neighbourhood in London, BloomsYard is a new café and wine bar heading to Liverpool Street.

Located in the reception area of 100 Liverpool Street – a new development featuring retail spaces, restaurants, outdoor spaces, and offices – in the day BloomsYard will be an espresso bar serving drinks to go. Coffee comes from south London roasters Assembly, with tea from Bird and Blend. By night, it will become a wine bar serving a selection of snacks alongside its large wine selection.

Founder Bharti Radix wants BloomsYard to be a “sacred place when you need time away from the hustle and bustle of city life.” After working for brands including Berry Bros. & Rudd and Coffeesmiths Collective, Radix opened her first site in Watford last year.

The opening forms part of a wider plan for Broadgate to become a hub for both people travelling to London and those working and live in the area – and we hope the developments mean lots of new and exciting restaurant openings soon.
