With chocolate I fix everything, even the cake batter that went bad to make another dessert
In my house, there's only one rule: nothing goes to waste, not even a bad cake batter... but it can be transformed into a completely different recipe with the help of chocolate.
Yes, mistakes can lead to different recipes, or even transform into something new by adding just a few ingredients.
For example, while reviewing the quantities of the cake I wanted to make, I thought about adding chocolate, so I could then proceed to the next step.
In no time at all, I managed to make some incredibly delicious brioche that are worth trying.
Wrong cake batter? Make these brioche buns now: the recipe
A bad cake batter can still become the perfect base for truly incredible brioche like this one. In short, brioche born from a mistake in the quantities. Furthermore, the ingredients we'll need to make our brioche are the following:
- 350 grams of flour,
- 50 grams of chocolate,
- 300 grams of sugar,
- 4 eggs,
- 200 ml of milk,
- a glass of olive oil,
- chocolate chips,
- a sachet of baking powder,
- a pinch of salt.
Let's prepare delicious brioches together for breakfast all week long.
Let's start preparing our brioche immediately by taking a sufficiently large bowl, in which we will place the four eggs and immediately beat them with the sugar until they have doubled in volume, transforming into a single dough.
Now, add both the oil and the milk and move on to the next step: take a fine-mesh sieve and proceed as follows: place the chocolate inside and mix with an electric whisk, then continue with the flour and finally with the baking powder.
Mix everything together, add a pinch of salt, and garnish with chocolate chips to taste. Let the dough rest and, in the meantime, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Then, take a muffin pan and line it with parchment paper liners. These will serve as individual portions, making them easy to store once baked.
Bake the brioche in a preheated oven for about 25 minutes. After the required time, check for doneness with a toothpick: if it comes out clean, the inside of the brioche is cooked through. Repeat this process until all the brioche are done, then let them cool completely before eating.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container and store them in the pantry: you'll have about a week to enjoy them. Place any leftovers in an airtight container and store them in the pantry: they'll stay soft and delicious for about a week.
