Meatballs

Meatballs

Meatballs are a traditional Czech classic made from minced meat and can be prepared in many different variations. Don't expect anything groundbreaking from this recipe, but prepare an honest, juicy meatball just like your grandmother made it.

Ingredients · Servings 8
  • 1 kg minced meat (mix of pork and beef)
  • 1-2 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 eggs
  • salt
  • ground pepper
  • 2-3 tablespoons dried marjoram
  • 4 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves
  • oil
  • breadcrumbs
Method · 1 h
  1. Mix the minced meat with the eggs, add the marjoram crushed between your palms, chopped parsley, pressed garlic, pepper and salt.
  2. Peel the onion, chop it and fry it in a pan with a little oil until soft, then add it to the meat mixture and mix thoroughly.
  3. Form the finished mixture into meatballs and lightly coat them in breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the prepared meatballs in a pan with hot oil for about 5-8 minutes on each side (depending on the thickness of the meatballs). However, they can also be prepared on the grill.
