Baked potatoes with sausage and cheese

Baked potatoes with sausage and cheese are a hearty dish that will delight lovers of simple home cooking. Potatoes, spicy sausage, eggs, cream and baked cheese will create a fragrant lunch or dinner for the whole family.

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • 3 large boiled potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 3 pepper sausages (preferably spicy)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 250 ml whipping cream
  • 100 g grated cheese
  • lard
  • 1 teaspoon crushed cumin
  • salt
  • ground pepper
Method · 50 min
  1. Peel the boiled potatoes and cut them into cubes. Peel the onion and cut it into half moons. Cut the sausages into rings.
  2. Heat the lard in a pan and sauté the onion, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, for about 5 minutes. Add the sausage and sauté together for another 3–5 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 °C in advance.
  4. Transfer the onion, sausage and roast to a baking dish. Add the potatoes, crushed cumin, salt and pepper and mix.
  5. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the cream and ketchup. Stir in the grated cheese and pour the mixture over the contents of the baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
