If I had to choose between sweet and savory, I would absolutely go for savory. But for this banana cake, I really make an exception. When I make this cake, I really have to restrain myself from eating a few slices in a row. It is a super tasty and moist cake that is absolutely highly recommended!

Ingredients · Servings 8
  • 260 grams of flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 115 grams of butter
  • 165 grams brown caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • optional walnuts
Method · 1 h 20 min
  1. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and salt.
  3. Put the butter in a small bowl and melt it in the microwave. Add the butter, brown sugar, eggs, bananas, and cinnamon to the flour mixture. Mix everything well together. Add some chopped walnuts at the last moment.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and then bake the cake for approximately 60 minutes.
