Simple bun with grated apples

This simple bun will surely be your favorite salvation when there is nothing at home for breakfast or with afternoon coffee. The apples will add softness and flavor to the bun, while the cinnamon and lemon zest will give it a beautiful aroma.

Ingredients · Servings 1 dose
  • 3 cups of semi-coarse flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 baking powder
  • 3–4 large apples
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • rum to taste
Method · 1 h
  1. Cut the unpeeled apples into quarters, remove the cores and grate them on a coarse grater.
  2. Whisk the eggs, sugar, milk, oil, baking powder, flour, cinnamon and lemon zest in a deep bowl until a compact dough forms.
  3. Mix the dough with the grated apples.
  4. Grease the baking sheet with butter and sprinkle with coarse flour. Pour the well-mixed dough onto it and bake in the oven preheated to 180 °C for 40-45 minutes.
