Baked minced meat with vegetables

Baked minced meat with vegetables

Baked minced meat with vegetables is a hearty one-pot meal. Layers of potatoes are complemented by a juicy mixture of beef, zucchini and tomatoes, while yogurt with egg and grated cheese create a delicate baked layer during baking.

Ingredients · Servings 1 dose
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 800g potatoes
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 200 g plain yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g grated cheese
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • salt
  • ground pepper
  • Further:
  • oil for greasing the baking dish
Method · 1 h 30 min
  1. Peel the onion and garlic. Wash the vegetables. Finely chop the onion and garlic, and cut the zucchini into smaller pieces. Cut three tomatoes into cubes and the remaining two into slices.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the zucchini, chopped tomatoes and garlic and sauté briefly.
  3. Add the ground beef, salt and pepper and sauté, stirring occasionally, for approximately 10 minutes, until the meat is broken up and the excess liquid has partially evaporated.
  4. Peel, wash and thinly slice the potatoes. Preheat the oven to 180°C and lightly grease a baking dish with oil.
  5. Spread half of the potatoes on the bottom of the baking dish, evenly layer the meat mixture on top, and cover with the remaining potatoes. Spread the tomato slices on top.
  6. Mix the yogurt with the egg. Sprinkle the dish with half of the grated cheese and pour the yogurt mixture evenly over it.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 50 minutes, until the potatoes are tender. Then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for another 10 minutes, until golden brown.
