Vegan bread pudding

Vegan bread pudding

Vegan bread pudding is a sweet bread casserole that can also be made with purely plant-based ingredients. Here's a recipe using stale bread rolls and apples.

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • 4 apples
  • 400 ml Haferdrink
  • 1 tbsp margarine (for the pan)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 bread rolls (stale, vegan)
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 40 g sugar
Method · 45 min
  1. First, cut the stale and vegan bread rolls into bite-sized pieces and grease a casserole dish.
  2. Then wash and chop the apples.
  3. Now take 4 tablespoons of the oat milk and mix it with sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Then add this mixture to the remaining oat milk and mix well.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat).
  5. Then layer the apples and bread alternately in the casserole dish and spread the oat milk mixture over them.
  6. Finally, bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
