Brussels sprout and minced meat casserole

Enjoy this simple Brussels sprout and ground beef casserole on cozy autumn and winter days and look forward to happy faces at the table. Hearty Brussels sprouts, flavorful ground beef, and delicious cheese – doesn't that sound like a perfect combination?

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • 600 g potatoes
  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 1 onion
  • 400g minced beef
  • 2. Butter
  • 2 EL Mehl
  • 250 ml milk
  • 250 ml vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • 100g grated cheese (e.g. Emmental)
Method · 55 min
  1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Remove the stem from the Brussels sprouts and discard the outer leaves. Finely chop the onion.
  2. Cook potatoes in a pot of boiling salted water for 10 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and cook everything for another 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat).
  4. Heat butter in a pan and sauté the ground meat and onions. Then dust with flour and pour in the vegetable broth and milk. Bring to a boil, stir in the parsley, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  5. Place potatoes, Brussels sprouts, minced meat, and onions in a greased casserole dish and mix. Sprinkle the casserole with cheese and bake for 30 minutes.

Place potatoes, Brussels sprouts, minced meat, and onions in a greased casserole dish and mix. Sprinkle the casserole with cheese and bake for 30 minutes. 100g grated cheese.
