Sweet pizza with figs and dried fruit

Sweet fig and dried fruit pizza is a delicious way to use up leftovers from your Christmas dinner. Walnuts, hazelnuts, and dried figs are a favorite all over the world this season: if you have a lot of them, you can use some to make this truly special quick recipe!

Ingredients

  • 250 g of Manitoba flour
  • 250 g of
  • 00 flour Half a sachet of dried brewer's yeast A spoonful of sugar
  • 250 ml of water
  • 50 ml of seed oil For the filling: 200 g of dried figs
  • 100 g of raisins
  • 100 g of shelled almonds
  • 50 ml of seed oil
  • 100 g of shelled walnuts A spoonful of sugar Half a small glass of rum

Making sweet pizza

To make this cake, start by pouring the flours into a bowl. Add the dried yeast and a tablespoon of sugar and mix the dry ingredients. Then, slightly heat the water and begin pouring it in, kneading. Alternate with the seed oil until fully incorporated. Knead the dough until smooth and homogeneous, cover it, and let it rise for two hours.

After the required time, it will have doubled in volume. Chop the figs, walnuts, and almonds into small pieces and place them in a saucepan with the raisins, oil, sugar, and rum. Turn the heat to low and let the flavors blend, stirring for a couple of minutes. Knead the dough again, roll it out with your hands on a pastry board, and add the dried fruit mixture.

Knead until smooth, shape into a loaf, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rest for about half an hour. Bake at 170°C (340°F) in a convection oven for an hour. Let your pizza cool and serve!
