Meat loaf

Meat loaf

Golden brown meatballs are hard to resist. All you have to do is mix together minced meat and a few other ingredients, shape the mixture into a meatball, and simply bake it. It tastes great with tomato sauce and dumplings, but also with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • 500 g minced meat (mixture of pork and beef)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • ground black pepper
  • marjoram
  • ground pepper
  • salt
  • oil
  • water (for pouring)
Method · 1 h 10 min
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Place the meat in a bowl, add salt, pepper, ground paprika, marjoram, mustard, egg and pressed garlic.
  3. Mix thoroughly and add breadcrumbs as needed and work it in well. Knock the meat against the table several times to combine the mixture better, and shape it into a doughnut shape with your hands dipped in water.
  4. Then place the meat in an oiled baking dish and pour a little water over it.
  5. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 50 minutes. Add sauce as needed.
  6. Serve the finished meatballs either with tomato sauce and dumplings, or with mashed potatoes.
