Fried herring fillets and butter-garlic potatoes

Fried herring fillets and butter-garlic potatoes

Ingredients · Servings 4 annosta
  • 0,8kg silakkafileitä
  • 1 murennettu kalaliemikuutio
  • tuoretta tilliä
  • 2rkl ruisjauhoja
  • 1,5tl suolaa
  • voi-öljyseosta paistamiseen
  • keitettyjä uusia perunoita
  • voita
  • murskattuja valkosipulinkynsiä maun mukaan.
  • Tarjoiluun tilliä, sitruunaa ja tomaatti-majoneesikastiketta.
Method · 30 min
  1. Levitä huuhdellut fileet voipaperin päälle nahkapuoli alaspäin.
  2. Ripottele silakoille tasaisesti murennettu kalaliemi. Laita fileille tuoretta hienonnettua tilliä ja laita kaksi filettä vastakkain.
  3. Kierittele kalat ruisjauho-suolaseoksessa ja paista pannulla voi-öljyseoksessa kauniin ruskehtaviksi.
  4. Sulata kattilassa voita, lisää joukkoon puristettuja valkosipulinkynsiä, lisää kokonaisia keitettyjä uusia perunoita joukkoon ja ravistele kattilaa, että perunat saavat makua voi-valkosipulista.
  5. Tarjoa perunat silakoiden kera.
  6. Tein vielä kastiketta kaloille, sekoitin majoneesin joukkoon tomaattisalsaa. Se sopi hyvin kalojen kyytipojaksi.

Place the rinsed fillets on wax paper, skin side down.

Sprinkle the crumbled fish stock evenly over the herring. Place fresh chopped dill on the fillets and place two fillets facing each other.

Roll the fish in the rye flour and salt mixture and fry in a pan in a butter and oil mixture until nicely browned.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the pressed garlic cloves, add the whole boiled new potatoes and shake the saucepan so that the potatoes get the butter-garlic flavor.

Serve the potatoes with the herring.

I also made a sauce for the fish, mixing tomato salsa with mayonnaise. It was a great accompaniment to the fish.
