American potatoes baked in tartare sauce

American potatoes baked in tartare sauce

Want to prepare a quick and delicious side dish? Definitely go for American potatoes. To make them not so ordinary, add tartar sauce to them in addition to spices, in which the potatoes are first coated and only then baked.

Ingredients · Servings 3
  • 600-700g potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tartar sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • salt
  • oil
  • herbs for finishing
Method · 1 h 10 min
  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly, including the peel, and cut them into wedges.
  2. Let them soak in cold water for 10-15 minutes to release the starch.
  3. Mix the tartar sauce with smoked paprika, a tablespoon of oil and salt.
  4. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and grease it with oil. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  5. Dry the potatoes and mix them with the seasoned cream of tartar.
  6. Spread them out on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 35–40 minutes until golden brown. Turn as needed.
  7. Season the finished potatoes with salt to taste.
  8. Finally, we can sprinkle them with herbs, such as lovage or parsley, or even grated hard cheese.
