Cinnamon cookies “Esíčka”

Cinnamon cookies “Esíčka”

One of the most popular cookies sold has always been Esíčka. Therefore, it is not surprising that housewives try to imitate them at home. When shaping them, you can use a pastry bag or a meat grinder with an attachment.

Ingredients · Servings 1 dose
  • 125 g softened butter
  • 70 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200 g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Method · 45 min
  1. Line two baking sheets with baking paper. While you are preparing the dough and shaping the cookies, turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 °C.
  2. Beat the butter and sugar until foamy. Add the eggs, cinnamon, vanilla extract and beat thoroughly.
  3. Sift the flour with baking powder, add to the butter mixture and mix well.
  4. Fill the dough into a pastry bag and shape S-shaped cookies approximately 3.5 cm in size onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the cookies for 10–15 minutes (depending on your oven). The cookies will increase in size by about 1 cm during baking.
  6. After baking, let the cookies cool and store in a sealable container.
