Homemade elderberry lemonade will delight you with its light floral flavor and natural freshness. It is prepared from elderberry flowers, lemon and sugar and is a great refreshment on warm days. The result is a fragrant sparkling syrup with a pleasantly sweet and sour taste.

  • 8 liters of water
  • 750 g granulated sugar
  • 125 ml vinegar
  • 2 larger lemons
  • 16 elderflowers
Method · 25 min
  1. Cut the lemon into slices. Clean the elderflowers from insects.
  2. Boil the water with the sugar until the sugar dissolves. Then let it cool completely.
  3. Then add vinegar, chopped lemon and elderflowers.
  4. Leave the finished syrup in a pot for 4–5 days (it will start to bubble slightly).
  5. Strain the syrup through a cheesecloth and fill it into clean bottles.
