The first book dedicated to Chilean gin has been launched

In 170 full-color pages, journalist and food writer Daniel Greve has launched the first book dedicated to chronicling the current state of Chilean gin.

Chilean Gin (published by Emporio Creativo) offers comprehensive information to help you appreciate the quality of gins, exploring the botanical components that distinguish them and the details of the tasting process. It also includes a brief guide to essential products and tools for setting up a home bar, making the book accessible not only to professionals but also to cocktail enthusiasts.

Daniel Greve, a journalist with more than 25 years of experience in the gastronomic field, director of Emporio Creativo and regional director of World's 50 Best Restaurants, explains that Gin Chileno includes a selection of 30 brands and as many cocktail recipes that are complemented by attractive and inspiring images where the botanical context stands out: spices, leaves, flowers and dominant flavors.

“The texts accompanying each review are designed to offer readers a fluid and enjoyable experience, free from technical jargon and academic concepts. A book written with great care, but which doesn't come across as overly serious,” adds the author, who champions the bar as “the first great social network and the space where Chilean gin finds its splendor and its full potential.”

Gin Chileno is available in bookstores in Santiago. For other regions and countries, it can be ordered via Instagram at @GinChilenoLibro.
