Spezia is an Italian outdoor concept installed at The Lands by Capella, Capella Sydney's new luxury event space. It occupies a courtyard tucked away between the sandstone walls of the former Department of Land building, with the energy of an Italian piazza.

At the helm of the kitchen will be chef Jae Bang, whose resume includes three Michelin stars at Re-naa in Norway, three stars at Arzak in San Sebastián, and the pioneering El Bulli. He will be joined by Freyja's chef, Aaron Caccia, who also trained at Re-naa and Noma in Copenhagen.

The menu reinterprets classic Italian dishes with subtle hints of spices from the Silk Road. Among them are cavatelli alla nerano with pink peppercorns and nutmeg, and tiramisu with a touch of allspice.
