Upside-down cake with caramelized plums is an interesting twist on a classic cake. It's an original and very interesting way to break the spell of traditional plum cake. By baking it upside down, the fruit doesn't fall into the cake and adds a beautiful finishing touch.

Preparing caramelized plums:
- Step 1: Line a 24cm springform pan with baking paper. Wash the plums, cut them in half, and remove the pits. Arrange them cut-side down on the bottom of the pan.
- Step 2. Pour brown sugar and water into a pot. Cook for a few minutes until all the sugar dissolves and caramelizes slightly. Near the end of cooking, add the butter. Pour the prepared syrup over the plums and set aside while you prepare the batter.

- Step 5: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined. Spread the batter over the plums. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
