Blueberry tartlets

Blueberry tartlets

Blueberry tartlets will delight you with their delicate dough, delicate cottage cheese filling and a generous portion of juicy fruit. The blueberries are complemented by fragrant cinnamon crumbs, and lemon zest with a little juice gives the dessert a pleasantly fresh tone.

Ingredients · Servings 1 dose
  • Dough:
  • 400 g plain flour
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 200g butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Filling:
  • 500 g soft cottage cheese in a tub
  • 500 g blueberries
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 40 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • Crumb:
  • 120 g semi-coarse flour
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 80 g butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Further:
  • plain flour for dusting
Method · 1 h 5 min
  1. Cut the butter into small pieces for the dough. Mix the flour with the icing sugar, add the butter, egg yolks, milk and lemon juice and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap it and let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour.
  2. Meanwhile, remove the blueberries, wash them and let them drain well. Wash the lemon and grate the necessary amount of zest from it. Let the butter for the filling soften.
  3. Beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar, eggs and grated lemon zest. Gradually add the cottage cheese and mix everything until smooth.
  4. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Lightly dust a rolling pin with flour and roll out the chilled dough onto a sheet. Cut out circles slightly larger than the diameter of the molds and carefully line the bottom and sides of the molds with them. There is no need to grease the silicone molds.
  5. Fill the tartlets with the cheese filling and smooth the surface. Place the tartlets in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes, until the surface of the filling begins to turn slightly pink.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the crumbs. Cut the butter into small pieces, add the semi-coarse flour, powdered sugar and cinnamon and rub everything together with your fingers until crumbs form.
  7. Remove the pre-baked tartlets from the oven, cover them evenly with the drained blueberries and sprinkle with crumbs.
  8. Return the tartlets to the oven and bake at 190 °C for another 15–20 minutes, until the crumb is golden brown.
