Preheat the contact grill.

Spread one side of the bread slices thinly with butter, this will be the outside, which will make them crispy after baking.

Spread the inside with a mixture of mayonnaise and mustard, then layer: ham, thinly sliced ​​red onion, tomato, and finally grated or sliced ​​cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

Add the other slice of bread (buttered side out) and cook in the hot contact grill for 4–6 minutes until golden brown, until the cheese is completely melted and the bread is crispy on the outside.

While baking, gently press down once to make sure everything comes together, but do not flatten it completely.

Cut it in half and eat it while it's still hot!
