Gingerbread cookies in a cup
Gingerbread cookies are a Christmas tradition, but you can make them all year round. Every family has their own tried and tested recipe. This recipe is easy, the gingerbread cookies smell wonderful of honey and spices, and most importantly, they are really delicious.
Ingredients · Servings 4 sheets
- 2.5 cups plain flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2-3 tablespoons of Hera
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon gingerbread spice
- teaspoon of baking powder
- egg yolk for brushing
Method · 1 h 40 min
- Heat the fat and honey and mix with the sugar.
- Add the remaining ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate until the next day.
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 mm and cut out various shapes. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven and bake at 200 °C for 5–10 minutes.
- After removing the hot gingerbread from the oven, immediately brush it with beaten egg yolk and let it cool.
