Chocolate cupcakes

Muffins decorated with cream, cupcakes, have been very popular lately. Chocolate cupcakes look beautiful and will make everyone happy. Just decorate them with cream and add sugar sprinkles or grated chocolate.

Ingredients · Servings 12 pieces
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g semi-coarse flour
  • 150 g caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2-3 eggs (as needed)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 75 g dark chocolate (broken into pieces)
  • Cream:
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 250 g butter
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 pastry icing (100 g)
  • food coloring (as desired)
Method · 1 h 25 min
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Beat the sugar with the softened butter. Then gradually beat in 2 eggs and 2 tablespoons of cocoa. If the dough seems too stiff, add 1 more egg.
  3. Whisk everything until smooth. Sprinkle in the sifted flour mixed with baking powder.
  4. Knead a smooth dough. Finally, stir in the chocolate broken into small pieces.
  5. Fill the prepared muffin tins 2/3 full. It is always better to use sturdy tins (preferably silicone ones). These are less likely to move and ruin the shape of the cupcakes.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness with a skewer inserted into the cupcake and it should come out dry. After removing from the oven, let the cupcakes cool.
  7. Make a thick pudding from the milk and pudding powder. Let it cool. Also take the butter for the cream out of the fridge so that it has time to soften.
  8. Beat the softened butter with the sugar until foamy. Beat in the cooled pudding. Color with cocoa or food coloring according to your imagination.
  9. Decorate the surface of the cupcakes with the icing and let it set.
  10. Then, using a pastry bag, apply the butter-custard cream to the cupcakes.
