No-Cook Oat Porridge

It's very simple to make and can be done in just a few minutes, but remember to calculate the time carefully: in fact, to start your day off on the right foot by eating this dessert, you must prepare its base the night before as explained in the recipe and let it rest covered in the refrigerator overnight.

In the morning, once the necessary time has passed, take the dessert out of the refrigerator and garnish it with fruit as you see fit. I couldn't resist flavoring it with some well-washed red strawberries and a few chopped almonds, before dusting it all with coconut powder.

If you'd like a lighter version of this dish, simply reduce the amount of plant-based milk you've chosen and replace the remaining amount with plain water. Many people also leave out the honey, but I personally find it incredibly energizing, so I always add it.

  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • 90 ml of milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 30 oat flakes
  • to garnish
  • fresh fruit to taste

No-Cook Oat Porridge, Method

Mix the oats and chia seeds in a bowl. Cover the smooth mixture by at least two fingers with the plant-based milk. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12 hours overnight.

Once the required time has passed, add honey to the no-cook porridge and garnish the dessert with fresh summer fruit of your choice before dusting it with shredded coconut. Serve.
