Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona presents the most colorful brunch in the city

Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona presents the most colorful brunch in the city

Blanc, the restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, elevates its Sunday (and now holiday) brunch to a hedonistic luxury experience, with a revamped menu that emphasizes quality ingredients, presentation, and Mediterranean identity.

The redesign comes courtesy of Laura Ponts, a food stylist recognized by Forbes and Tapas as one of the most influential women in the industry. She worked closely with the hotel's executive chef, Marc de Martin, to offer a sensory experience that combines locally sourced ingredients, meticulous aesthetics, and Catalan roots. "I wanted to give it a very welcoming, very Mediterranean feel, with lots of color; something fun yet elegant, warm, and visually appealing," explains Ponts.

The new brunch is structured in five key moments, ranging from a station of Iberian ham cut by hand live, to a corner of bread with tomato presented as an authentic Catalan ritual, to a large cold table where Iberian sausages, national cheeses, seafood, preserves, salted meats and colorful vegetables coexist, all arranged as if it were an art installation.

The hot menu, presented during the chef's show, includes dishes such as mountain rice, cuttlefish fideuà with coastal prawns, slow-cooked veal shank and fish en papillote, as well as dishes that arrive directly at the table, such as gyozas with ponzu, octopus with parmentier or roast cannelloni.

The feast concludes with an equally spectacular sweet section: chocolate lollipops, gummies, tarts, macarons, cookies, éclairs and fresh seasonal fruit, in a presentation that revalues the concept of brunch with a sophisticated and contemporary approach.

With this proposal, Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona reaffirms its role as one of the benchmarks of haute cuisine in the city, and opens the doors of its Sunday brunch not only to guests, but also to the local public looking for a five-star gastronomic experience in a luxurious setting.
