From loaded buns to sausage rolls: Tesco and M&S unveil new bakery products

Two supermarket retailers have expanded their bakery ranges to entice consumers to aisles this autumn.

Tesco has unveiled indulgent sweet and savoury bakes that draw on seasonal flavours, while M&S has rolled out a selection of savoury pastries to its in-store offering at Foodhalls.

The launches follow Tesco’s major reset of its premium own-lable range earlier this year, as well as M&S’ summer 2026 range.

Rolled & Loaded Buns, Tesco

Rsp: £2.25 (two-pack)

According to Google Trends, search interest for “Tesco Cinnamon Buns” reached ‘Breakout’ status on Google Search and YouTube Search during the week of 17-23 August, representing a 5,000% increase compared to the previous period. So, it’s great timing that the retailer has come out with new Rolled & Loaded Buns that are generously swirled with a flavoured filling and then loaded with icing.

There are three flavour options to choose from: Cinnamon, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Caramel & Chocolate. The Cinnamon Bun is topped with vanilla-infused cream cheese icing; Blueberry Cheesecake has blueberry cream cheese icing and blueberry pieces; while Caramel & Chocolate is loaded with a rich caramel sauce and caramelised biscuit crumb. All flavours are available in single packs in Tesco Express stores.

Rsp: £3.50

A delicious new flavour has been added to the mix of Tesco’s tear & share range, which it claimed has reached viral status. The new variant combines soft, fluffy dough with a rich chocolate hazelnut filling.
