Red Lobster appoints Brad Hill as chief financial officer and executive vice president
Hill previously served as CEO of P.F. Chang’s; Kristen Briede also joins the company as chief global development officer.
Red Lobster has announced the appointment of two executive leaders: Former P.F. Chang’s CEO Brad Hill will join the seafood restaurant brand as chief financial officer and executive vice president, and Kristen Briede will join the company as chief global development officer after holding a similar role at Steak ‘n Shake.
"Red Lobster has made significant progress coming out of a challenging period, and we're now shifting from stabilization to a disciplined, execution-led growth phase focused on optimizing the guest experience, driving operational excellence, accelerating real estate optimization and building a stronger platform for durable growth," CEO Damola Adamolekun said in a statement. "Brad and Kristen are proven, high-impact leaders. Brad brings the operational finance leadership and transformation mindset to drive outcomes, and Kristen brings deep experience building best-in-class franchise, partnership and retail brand development engines.”
Hill succeeds Bob Baker, who recently left the company to pursue another opportunity. Before joining Red Lobster, Hill worked for nearly a decade at P.F. Chang’s, where he held various leadership roles, including CFO, COO, and most recently CEO, where he led the casual-dining brand for about a year.
In his new role, Hill will be charged with leading Red Lobster's finance organization; overseeing planning, forecasting, and stakeholder reporting; and leading the company's strategic real estate efforts, including negotiations and deals execution.
Kristen Briede will lead Red Lobster's asset‑light growth and brand development agenda, including domestic and international franchising, nontraditional formats, and strategic partnerships that exist beyond the dining room.
Before serving as chief global development officer for Steak ‘n Shake, Briede had a strong background at P.F. Chang’s as well, most recently as president of global brands.
