Lucy Brady named president of Jamba

Lucy Brady was named president of Jamba on Monday as the juice chain’s parent company GoTo Foods announced several different leadership changes.

“will create greater organizational agility and allow us to remain focused on what matters most: growing category-leading brands, supporting franchisee success, and delivering experiences that keep guests coming back.”

Most of the changes involve expanded roles for existing executives. Nathan Baldwin, president of Auntie Anne’s, is now president of Specialty Brands and will oversee Cinnabon, Carvel, and co-branded efforts, in addition to Auntie Anne’s.

Francisco Bram, GoTo Foods' chief growth officer, has been named president of Moe’s Southwest Grill. Biplav Misra was given the expanded title of chief digital and technology officer, adding technology to his existing oversight of digital.

Brady, who started with GoTo Foods last week, had been the president of grocery and snacks with Conagra Brands, where she led a $5 million portfolio of more than 60 brands. Earlier, she worked with McDonald’s, and helped build the chain’s loyalty and delivery businesses.

She will work with franchisees and restaurant teams at the 710-unit Jamba, which last year generated $461.8 million in system sales. The juice chain has lost about 10% of its sales over the past two years, according to data from Technomic, as unit volumes declined 7.5% and the chain closed a net of 24 locations.

Omer Gajial, CEO of the Atlanta-based GoTo Foods, in a statement said that strengthening the company’s leadership structure “will create greater organizational agility and allow us to remain focused on what matters most: growing category-leading brands, supporting franchisee success, and delivering experiences that keep guests coming back.”

GoTo Foods, formerly known as Focus Brands, is owned by the private-equity firm Roark Capital. It operates several chains, including McAlister’s Deli and Schlotzsky’s Deli, in addition to Auntie Cnne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, Jamba, and Moe’s. Its brands operate more than 7,500 locations in 72 countries.
