I simply mixed chocolate and hot water and obtained a chocolate mousse worthy of the finest restaurants

With just a bar of dark chocolate, you can make a delicious chocolate mousse. All you need to do is add a little water. Here's how.

Making chocolate mousse with just two ingredients sounds almost too good to be true. And yet, there's no need to take eggs, cream, or milk out of the refrigerator. Chocolate and hot water are all you need to create a light and incredibly delicious dessert. Content creator Sarah Lauzon proves it in a new post shared on her Instagram account.

The young woman accomplished this culinary feat in no time at all, and the result looked absolutely delicious. For this mousse to set properly, the key is in the proportions. She used exactly the same amount of chocolate and hot water. So, for 100 grams of chocolate, you need 100 grams of water. This detail is crucial for achieving a mixture thick enough to whip up.

Next, to save time, the Quebec influencer blends everything in her blender. At this point, the mixture is still quite liquid. But don't worry, it will completely change texture after being refrigerated. Once thoroughly chilled, it transforms into a real chocolate mousse. Yum!

The ingredients:

  • Dark chocolate
  • Water

The procedure to follow:

Start by weighing your ingredients. This step is crucial because they must be added in equal quantities. Once the water is weighed, pour it into your blender. Then, boil it in your microwave. You can also heat the liquid in a saucepan on your stovetop. When the water is very hot, add the chopped dark chocolate.

Give the mixture a gentle shake. Close the blender and turn it on. Blend all the ingredients for at least 20 seconds. Carefully remove the mixture by opening the container.

Next, pour the chocolate mixture into containers, such as small glasses or even little cups, depending on what you have on hand. Once filled, place them in the refrigerator. Let them chill for at least 3 or 4 hours. And that's it! Now all you have to do is enjoy. Bon appétit!
