Perch with potatoes in the oven

Perch with potatoes in the oven

Sea bass is a delicious and healthy fish. It can be dried, salted, fried, baked, stuffed, stewed, smoked, or steamed. And what a rich fish soup it makes! This fish is prepared with a variety of sauces, including sour cream, tomato, and cream.

Sea bass pairs beautifully with many side dishes. Fish and potatoes are a classic. I suggest baking sea bass with potatoes in the oven. It's a delicious and filling dish. It's perfect for a holiday table.

To cook perch with potatoes in the oven, you will need the ingredients listed below.

I prepare the perch. I defrost the fish, remove the scales, cut off the head (if there is one), gut it, and wash it. Then I trim off the fins with kitchen scissors. I pat the perch dry with a towel.

I cut the fish into small pieces.

I place the perch pieces in a bowl, add salt and pepper to taste, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a little vegetable oil. Stir and set aside.

I peel and wash the potatoes.

I lightly grease the pan with vegetable oil and cut the potatoes into circles about 6-8 mm thick.

Lightly salt the potatoes, sprinkle with ground black pepper, and drizzle with vegetable oil. Bake in the oven at 190-200 degrees Celsius for about 25-30 minutes.

I wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half.

I peel and wash the onion and garlic. I cut the onion into half rings and chop the garlic with a knife.

I heat the frying pan, pour in one tablespoon of vegetable oil, add onion and garlic.

I fry them for about three minutes.

I add cherry tomatoes to the pan.

I fry for a few more minutes.

I take the browned potatoes out of the oven.

I put the fried vegetables on the potatoes.

I put pieces of perch on the frying pan.

I bake sea bass with potatoes in the oven until the fish is golden brown.

I serve the dish, garnished with parsley leaves.

The perch with potatoes was a success!

Bon appétit! Enjoy cooking!
