Wholemeal roll with radish, cottage cheese and pear

Wholemeal roll with radish, cottage cheese and pear

This quick breakfast, thanks to the whole-wheat bread roll, provides plenty of fiber and minerals. These promote good digestion and keep you feeling full. The cottage cheese delivers ample calcium for strong bones and protein for muscle building. The radishes boast essential oils with antibacterial properties.

Ingredients · Servings 2
  • 6 radishes
  • 2 spring onions
  • 200 g cottage cheese (10% fat in dry matter)
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Pfeffer
  • 50 g Rocket
  • 2 pears
  • 2 wholemeal rolls
Method · 10 min
  1. Trim and wash the radishes, then cut them into small strips or cubes. Trim and wash the spring onions, then slice them into very thin rings. Mix the radishes with the spring onions, cottage cheese, mustard, and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Wash the arugula and shake dry. Wash the pear, halve it, remove the core and cut into wedges.
  3. Cut open the rolls, cover with arugula, spread with the spread and add pear wedges.

Instead of whole-wheat rolls, this breakfast also tastes great with a bagel or whole-wheat bread. Depending on the season, the topping can also be made with cucumbers, tomatoes, or bell peppers. For even more spice, you can add some horseradish or cress.
