Baked appetizers with sausages and cheese

Baked appetizers with sausages and cheese are a quick and popular treat that is perfect for celebrations, parties and unexpected guests. Crispy puff pastry combined with sausages and melted cheese will delight diners young and old.

Ingredients · Servings 16 pieces
  • 1 package of frozen puff pastry
  • 100 g Gouda slices
  • 8 pork sausages
  • 1 egg
  • salt
Method · 40 min
  1. Let the puff pastry thaw according to the instructions on the package. Preheat the oven to 180 °C and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  2. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat with a fork. Cut the sausages in half and make several cuts at the ends.
  3. Roll out both sheets of thawed dough into rectangles. Then cut them into strips and brush them with beaten egg.
  4. Place slices of cheese and prepared sausages on the dough strips and wrap them in the dough.
  5. Transfer the prepared sausages in the dough to a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with beaten egg, lightly salt and bake for approximately 15 minutes until golden brown.
