James Cosmo discusses A Dram of Destiny in new video

In a new video podcast by Whisky, actor James Cosmo discusses A Dram of Destiny with founder Kevin Blair and Whisky media director Jamie Brodie.

Launched to celebrate Burns Night, A Dram of Destiny will be held on 30 January 2027 at at the Highland Centre in Ingliston, Edinburgh. The event aims to break two world records by becoming the largest-in person whisky tasting ever held, as well as the world’s largest Burns Supper.

A Dram of Destiny will be presided over by Cosmo, who joins as master of ceremonies. His whisky Storyman, created with Annandale, will be one of three Scotch whiskies lined up for the record-breaking whisky tasting.

Entertainment on the night will be provided by Celtic rock band Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Britain's Got Talent winner Susan Boyle, with more to be announced.

All proceeds from the event will go to the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which funds research into motor neuron disease.
