Chamberlain sauce for the winter

I couldn't resist this delicious sauce, especially since the tomato harvest is so good. I made it. Thanks to Yuna and Pilar for this delicious treat. A jar of Chamberlain tomato sauce is a wonderful addition to meat, pasta, potatoes, and many other dishes in the winter. It turns out this tomato sauce is actually quite easy to make, so I highly recommend giving it a try! The ingredients listed made three 0.5-liter jars.

Ingredients

Tomatoes - 1 kg

Carnations - 6 pcs.

Allspice peas - 10 pcs.

Bay leaf - 2 pcs.

Sugar - 100 g

Salt - 2 tbsp.

Refined sunflower oil - 5 tbsp.

Vinegar 9% - 50 ml

Cooking process

To make Chamberlain sauce, blanch the tomatoes: make cross-shaped cuts on top, dip the tomatoes in boiling water, then in cold water, and remove the skins.

Cut the tomatoes into slices and place them in a saucepan.

Cut the onion into quarter rings and add it to the tomatoes. Also add the allspice, cloves, and bay leaf to the pan.

Add sugar and salt, pour in sunflower oil.

Simmer the Chamberlain sauce for 5-7 minutes. Finally, add the vinegar.

Pour the hot sauce into jars, seal, and turn them upside down. Wrap them up and let them cool.
