Making Strawberry Vanilla Clafoutis
Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the stems, cut them in half, and place them in a bowl. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Gradually add the sifted flour to the egg mixture, then gradually add the slightly warmed milk. Stir with a spatula, using bottom-up movements, until you obtain a smooth, lump-free batter.
Now, butter a springform pan and arrange the strawberries on the bottom. Pour the mixture into the pan, covering the strawberries completely. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for about 45 minutes. When the clafoutis is golden brown, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 1 hour at room temperature. Then, refrigerate the cake for 2 hours. Before enjoying, dust the surface with powdered sugar, if desired, or enhance its flavor even further with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream. Here's a wonderful recipe with the scent of spring to delight everyone's palate. Enjoy!
