Holy Guacamole Recipe

Holy Guacamole Recipe

Loaded with fresh ingredients, this easy and authentic Holy Guacamole Recipe makes a marvelous topper for Mexican dishes, as well as a zesty appetizer.

Ingredients · Servings 8
  • 3 large ripe Haas avocados
  • 1 lime, (juiced)
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, (minced)
  • 1 jalapeno, (minced)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, (chopped)
  • 1 plum tomatoes, (diced)
  • salt and pepper, (to taste)
Method · 10 min
  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. Place the avocado flesh in a medium bowl and pour the lime juice over the top. Use a spoon and fork to mash the avocado until mostly smooth.
  2. Smell your jalapeño to test the heat... You can usually tell if you got a spicy one. Stir in the garlic, jalapeño (half or all), green onions and cilantro. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the diced tomato at the very end.
  3. Serve immediately, or press plastic wrap down over the surface of the guacamole, removing all air bubbles, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Sommer’s Recipe Notes

Guacamole is one of my go-to appetizers to take to parties, but honestly, it’s perfect for enjoying any day of the week! With just a handful of fresh ingredients—ripe avocados, zesty lime juice, diced tomatoes, and a hint of red onion—you get a dip that’s creamy, tangy, and downright irresistible. The lime brings brightness, the onion adds a slight crunch, and the tomatoes provide a burst of freshness. It’s everything you love about guacamole, made in minutes!

My family loves this easy Holy Guacamole Recipe! We dollop it on top of salads and Mexican favorites. We serve it with cocktails and chips on Friday afternoon. We even make our easy guacamole recipe with breakfast scrambles and warm tortillas on the weekends. This guacamole dip is so versatile and tastes good on basically anything.

Serve it as a classic dip with crunchy tortilla chips, crispy pita chips, or fresh-cut veggies like carrots, celery, and bell peppers. Feeling fancy? Pair it with baked sweet potato wedges or smear it on crostini for a sophisticated bite. Guacamole is also a taco night essential —spoon it onto your tacos or even burritos, nachos, burrito bowl or enchiladas for a flavorful kick.
