Yeast dough for protein cinnamon rolls:
Step 1 Mix together the dry ingredients: wheat flour, protein powder, yeast and sugar.
Step 2 Add the egg, warm milk and finally the soft butter to the dry ingredients.
Step 3 Knead the dough for a few minutes using a food processor. Then cover the dough with a cotton cloth and set aside in a warm place for about 1 hour to rise.
Step 4 Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle measuring approximately 30 cm x 35 cm.
Cinnamon filling:
Step 5 Cream the soft butter with sugar and cinnamon using a spoon.
Step 6: Spread cinnamon paste over the rolled-out dough and gently roll it up, starting from the short edge. Using a knife or string, divide the dough into 10-12 pieces. Place them on a baking sheet and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
Step 7 Preheat the oven to 170°C using the top-bottom function and bake the cinnamon buns for 17 minutes.
Step 8 Leave the baked cinnamon rolls to cool on a baking rack.
Cheese and protein powder topping:
Step 9 Place the cream cheese and protein powder in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly.
Step 10 Spread the icing on the buns. Enjoy!
