Spicy salmon

Delicious and tender salmon in a spicy caramelized crust tastes great with lemon, rice and peas. The sweet peas balance the spicy taste of the chili. Plus, this tasty dish is ready in no time.

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coarsely ground chili
  • 1 pinch of cumin
  • salt
  • coarsely ground pepper
  • lemon slices for decoration
Method · 30 min
  1. Wash the fillets and dry them with a paper towel.
  2. Then brush them with olive oil on both sides.
  3. In a deep plate, mix the cane sugar with coarsely ground chili, cumin, salt, and pepper and coat the individual fillets in the mixture.
  4. Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan and sear the salmon on both sides. The cane sugar should caramelize nicely and create a savory crust.
  5. Serve the fish prepared in this way with a slice of lemon. A tasty side dish is boiled rice and green peas.
