Savory cottage cheese pie with ham and cheese

Savory cottage cheese pie with ham and cheese

Savory cottage cheese pie with ham and cheese is a simple and hearty dessert without the classic dough. The cottage cheese base is complemented by ham, red onion and cheese, which creates a golden layer on the surface when baked. Fresh chives give the finished pie a fresh taste.

Ingredients · Servings 1 sheet
  • 500 g soft cottage cheese
  • 200 g grated cheese
  • 100 g ham
  • 2 red onions
  • 4 eggs
  • 65 g plain flour
  • 1/2 bunch of chives
  • 1 teaspoon ground sweet paprika
  • salt
  • ground pepper
Method · 40 min
  1. Cut the ham into small cubes, peel and finely chop the onion. Wash, dry and chop the chives.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 °C and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  3. Mix the cottage cheese with the eggs, flour, half of the grated cheese, ham and onion. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, ground paprika and mix thoroughly.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle the surface with the remaining cheese.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 25 minutes, until the surface is golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle the baked cake with chopped chives, let it cool slightly, and then cut it.
