Dinners with a cause to build traditional cooking schools: When and where?

Dinners with a cause to build traditional cooking schools: When and where?

The "From Tradition to the Vanguard" project's charity dinners aim to bring together renowned Mexican Traditional Cooks and chefs in Mexican gastronomy to celebrate the richness of traditional Mexican cuisine.

Details of the dinners to build traditional cooking schools

Traditional Mexican cooks have inherited their culinary knowledge orally from generation to generation, and the purpose of this project is to provide cooks with suitable spaces to teach classes, share their knowledge with new generations, continue preserving our culinary roots, and thus help rebuild the social fabric in each locality.

What can I expect to find at charity dinners?

At this charity event you can enjoy a five-course dinner. The menu was created by chef Reyna Pérez Vicuña, from Hueyapan, Morelos, and chefs Mariana Guadarrama, from Los Panchos, and Mane Rivera, from Tierra Adentro, highlighting the use of local products and showcasing traditional Mexican cooking techniques.

You can try traditional dishes with ingredients such as: huauzontle tamale with pipián, a star mole with carnitas pork shank, memelas with cecina chicharrón, among other dishes, all accompanied by a special pairing as well as Mexican craft beer, mezcal, and wine.

Where? Los Panchos Restaurant. Located at Tolstoi #9, Col. Anzures, Mexico City.

When? Next May 16th, at 7pm.

Cost: $1,500 pesos for 5 courses and $1,800 for 5 courses with wine pairing.

Let's support traditional Mexican cuisine and the future creators of the Traditional Cooking School!
