The best rooftop bars and restaurants in Frankfurt

1. "NFT Skybar & Restaurant" by nhow Frankfurt

The newcomer, situated at a height of 185 meters, is part of the nhow Hotel at the trade fair grounds, which boasts a vibrant, colorful design themed "The Art of Money." The bar-restaurant, with its spectacular 360-degree terrace, is located on the 47th floor. The menu offers snacks and dishes such as sea bass ceviche, Wagyu beef tartare, gold-dusted fries, grilled Caesar salad, and lamb roulade with apple and poultry stuffing. In the evenings, the bar hosts a party.

  • 2. "Oben Restaurant & Bar", Meliá Frankfurt City Hotel

The restaurant of the new Meliá Hotel is located on the 15th floor of the "One Forty West" tower. Panoramic views abound both inside and out. Chef Javier Barros serves Spanish-inspired fusion dishes. Recommended: grilled giant squid, cod al pil-pil (oil and garlic emulsion), lamb neck with piquillo peppers, suckling pig shank, and crème brûlée. Later in the evening, the music gets louder, and the restaurant transforms into a party venue.

  • 3. "The Blasky Roof", The Blasky Hotel & Rooftop

The heart of the new private hotel beats on the top floor – with a bar, restaurant, and wraparound terrace. At only six stories, the hotel is tiny by local standards, but thanks to its location on the Sachsenhausen side of the city, it offers a complete postcard panorama of the skyline. On the menu: burgers, Wagyu entrecôte, or miso-glazed cauliflower steak.

  • 4. "Maintower Restaurant & Lounge"

Dining 187 meters above the city is truly an exceptional experience. In the minimalist restaurant on the 53rd floor, both the view and the fine-dining cuisine are equally impressive. On the menu by rising star Martin Weghofer, duck liver meets Asian pear, pistachio, and ponzu; fjord salmon is served with Thai flavors; and halibut is accompanied by fennel, caviar, and wasabi. Restaurant guests are given priority at the security checkpoint before taking the express elevator.

  • 5. "Franziska" in Frankfurt

How enviable to have an aunt like Franziska, who once cooked innovative meals for her nephew, in this case Christian Mook. In her honor, the renowned restaurateur developed his "Progressive German Vintage Cuisine," which he offers on the 39th floor of the new Henninger Tower. Located 140 meters above Sachsenhausen, the kitchen surprises with interpretations of familiar dishes such as "Russian Egg" with mustard-dill cream and Imperial caviar, or truffled Saumagen (stuffed pig's stomach) with veal liver sausage croquette.
