Smokey Mo’s BBQ Launches Pork Belly Menu for Porktober
Smokey Mo’s BBQ, the award-winning neighborhood barbecue franchise known for serving Texas classics smoked in-house daily with fast, friendly service, is going all in on pork belly this October in celebration of National Pork Month and the National Pork Board’s Porktober initiative.
“Pork doesn’t typically get the same attention in Texas barbecue, and we always want our BBQ to stand out. That made it a natural choice for us to get creative with and put at the center of a special menu.”
Beginning Oct. 6, guests can enjoy pork belly in several new ways, including the new Pork Belly Burnt End Bites, a six-piece shareable that can be enjoyed as an appetizer or added to a meal. The full Porktober menu includes:
- Pork Belly Burnt End Bites ($9.99): Six smoky, savory and slightly sweet pork belly burnt ends, served as a starter or shareable.
- Pork Belly Baker ($12.99): Smokey Mo’s oversized loaded baked potato topped with chopped pork belly bites for a hearty fall combination.
- Pork Belly Plate ($16.29): Pork belly burnt ends served with guests’ choice of two sides.
- Pork Belly Burnt Ends by the Pound ($14.99 per half pound): Available by the half pound to share or add to a meal.
“Pork belly has become a favorite among our guests, so Porktober gives us a chance to have some fun with a protein they already love and give them more ways to enjoy it,” said Leslie Smith, Vice President of Marketing for Smokey Mo’s BBQ. “Pork doesn’t typically get the same attention in Texas barbecue, and we always want our BBQ to stand out. That made it a natural choice for us to get creative with and put at the center of a special menu.”
Smokey Mo’s has built its menu around the Texas barbecue staples guests know and love, while continuing to innovate on the state favorite. By participating in Porktober alongside the National Pork Board, the brand is putting its own Texas barbecue spin on the month-long celebration, giving pork belly a larger role on the menu while staying true to the smoked-in-house barbecue, top-notch service and neighborhood experience at the heart of the brand.
The Porktober menu will be available at all locations beginning Oct. 6. Guests can order in-restaurant or online.
