Cottage cheese with garlic and herbs

Cottage cheese with garlic and herbs

Cottage cheese is one of the richest sources of complete protein. It contains a large amount of easily digestible calcium and vitamins.

Cottage cheese is most often used in desserts and sweet dishes, but I suggest making a savory cottage cheese appetizer with garlic and herbs. It's quick and easy to prepare. There are several ways to serve this appetizer: you can spread it on toast, crackers, biscuits, breadsticks, or croutons; you can stuff it into tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, egg halves, or tartlets; or you can form it into balls and serve it on lettuce leaves. The key is to prepare the base; the rest is up to your imagination.

Ingredients

Cottage cheese (5% or 9%) - 250 g

Garlic - 1-2 medium cloves

Greens (dill, parsley, green onions, cilantro) - to taste

Sour cream - 30-40 g

Salt - to taste

Black pepper - to taste

Cooking process

Wash the dill, dry it, separate the sprigs from the stem and chop finely.

Place the cottage cheese in a deep bowl, mash with a fork or rub through a sieve.

Add sour cream and chopped dill or other herbs you like, mix.

Add the garlic, which you can finely grate or press through a garlic press. If you don't like spicy dishes, you can adjust the amount to suit your taste. Now add salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.

That's it, the cottage cheese with garlic and herbs is ready.
