Pizza au cottage cheese

Pizza au cottage cheese

This cottage cheese pizza is made with a quick dough, requiring no yeast and no rising time. The cottage cheese adds a soft texture to the dough and provides a good source of protein. The base can then be topped simply with tomato sauce and mozzarella, or customized to your liking.

Ingredients · Servings 2
  • approximately 180g of flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 225g of whole cottage cheese
  • 120 ml of tomato sauce for pizza
  • 50 to 60 g of grated mozzarella
  • 0.5 red onion
Method · 27 min
  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C then in a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Add the cottage cheese and mix with a wooden spoon.
  3. Place it on a lightly floured work surface and knead it briefly, 2 to 3 minutes, just enough to obtain a smooth dough. It is normal for it to remain slightly uneven.
  4. Spread the dough between two sheets of baking paper into a rectangle of approximately 25 × 30 cm, then place it with the bottom sheet on a baking tray.
  5. Bake for 5 minutes, until the dough has slightly firmed up. It doesn't need to be golden brown at this stage.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, then top with tomato sauce, mozzarella and toppings, then continue baking for 5 to 7 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Wait 2 to 3 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
