Australian International Beer Awards renew presenting partnership

Barrett Burston Malting and Cryer Malt have confirmed their presenting partnership with Melbourne Royal will continue for the 2026 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).

“Celebrating and supporting the brewing industry at every level is core to who we are. “This partnership showcases our long-term commitment to the craft, the community, and the future of brewing in Australia and beyond.”

This is now the 33 rd year of this long-standing partnership, which both sides said reflects their shared commitment to supporting excellence, innovation and growth in the global brewing community.

Cyril Charzat, APAC President, Barrett Burston Malting, said: “We’re incredibly proud to continue this partnership with the Melbourne Royal and the AIBA team.

“For decades, the awards have played an essential role in elevating brewing standards across the region. We’re honoured to support an event that recognises the people, creativity, and craftsmanship behind great beer.”

The AIBA are one of the largest and most respected beer competitions and the 2026 awards will once again unite brewers from around the world, providing an opportunity to benchmark beers against global standards across an extensive range of categories.

As Presenting Partner, Barrett Burston Malting and Cryer Malt will continue their involvement across the awards program, industry events and celebrations in the lead-up to the prestigious awards night.

Kirrily Waldhorn, Senior Manager F&B Awards, said: “Celebrating and supporting the brewing industry at every level is core to who we are.

“This partnership showcases our long-term commitment to the craft, the community, and the future of brewing in Australia and beyond.”

Breweries entering in 2026 can look forward to exclusive entrant focused offers from Barrett Burston Malting and Cryer Malt, aimed at helping brewers put their best beer forward.

The 2026 AIBA will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds, with entries opening in February.
