Easy main courses: 11 x on the table quickly and stress-free

To share

Easy main courses are truly the savior of the week at our house. You know the feeling: you come home tired from work, the kids (or you) have to go to sports, and you really don't feel like spending another hour in the kitchen. Ideally, you just want to put a tasty, healthy meal on the table without it costing you much effort. Fortunately, good food doesn't have to be complicated or take a long time!

If I’ve had a really busy day, a quick pasta with pesto is my ultimate salvation. Ready in no time and everyone finishes their plate!

Easy main courses: we help you!

At Uit Paulines Keuken, we believe that cooking should above all remain fun and relaxed. With a few smart recipes and handy tricks, you can conjure up something delicious in fifteen or twenty minutes. Whether you choose a quick pasta, a hearty soup, or an easy stir-fry: comfort food is the keyword. We have gathered our 11 favorite dishes for you that are guaranteed to be on the table in no time. Pull up a chair and enjoy!

Handy tips for quick evening meals

If you are short on time, a well-stocked pantry is your best friend. Make sure you always have a few basics on hand, such as a pack of pasta, rice, a can of tuna, or a bag of frozen vegetables. That way, you can always whip up a quick meal when your fridge is empty. Also smart: cook a double portion of rice or sauce and freeze half. That will save you a lot of time next week!

One more little tip for less stress in the kitchen: tidy up while you cook. Throw packaging straight into the trash and put used cutting boards in the dishwasher while your pasta is cooking. That way, you won't be staring at a huge pile of dishes after dinner and can plop down on the couch with your feet up.

Money-saving tips for easy main courses

Stamppot is the ideal budget meal. Potatoes cost next to nothing and you can very easily use up leftover vegetables.

Buy vegetables and meat when they are on sale and adjust your weekly menu accordingly; that saves a huge amount of money at the end of the month.

Canned fish, such as the tuna for pasta, is much cheaper than fresh fish and keeps for a very long time in your pantry.
