Mushrooms to freeze for the winter

Mushrooms to freeze for the winter

Freezing mushrooms for the winter is a great way to save a piece of the forest for the winter. Just boil them briefly, rinse them and put them in the freezer - no science, but you'll be glad you have this stock in the winter. They're great in sauces, soups and under meat.

Ingredients · Servings 1 dose
  • 1 kg of mushrooms
  • water (as needed)
  • salt (to taste)
Method · 20 min
  1. Clean the collected mushrooms and cut them into pieces.
  2. Let it boil in salted water for about 5 minutes.
  3. Then drain the mushrooms, rinse with cold running water, let them drain well and divide them into bags.
  4. Remove the air, seal (e.g. with a rubber band) and put in the freezer.
