Oatmeal with eggs - recipe for a filling and delicious porridge

Oatmeal with eggs

Oatmeal with eggs is a really filling and delicious breakfast. You might think it sounds a bit strange to stir a fresh egg into the warm porridge, but it tastes wonderful and even adds extra satiety and fullness to the porridge.

The egg adds protein and makes the porridge even creamier and more delicious than it already is. tips for the recipe below.

Oatmeal with eggs

40 g finely rolled oats

2 dl water

1 pinch of ground cardamom

1 cup milk

1 egg

1 pinch of salt

Topping

½ apple, diced

10 g almonds, finely chopped

1 teaspoon butter

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon sugar

Put the oatmeal, water and cardamom in a saucepan and bring to a slow boil while stirring.

Add milk as the porridge thickens. Beat the egg in a bowl. Turn off the heat and stir in a whole egg and salt. Stir until the porridge is completely uniform in consistency.

Serve with toppings – see also tips. Here the porridge is served with diced apples, a small pat of butter, a little cinnamon sugar and a sprinkle of almonds.
