Apple cake with a crispy crust

Apple cake with a crispy crust

Prepare the necessary ingredients from the list. Take the butter out of the refrigerator ahead of time so it softens.

First, let's prepare the filling, allowing it time to cool. To do this, peel the apples and cut them into 1 cm cubes.

Heat the butter in a frying pan, add the apples, and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Finally, add the cinnamon and stir. Transfer the apple filling to a bowl and let it cool. Immediately prepare the oatmeal crumble in the same pan. Melt 50 g of butter and immediately add the oatmeal and sugar. Fry, stirring, for 3-4 minutes. Finally, add the cinnamon, stir, and pour the crumble into a bowl.

For the dough, beat the softened butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Add the egg and continue beating.

Sift the flour and baking powder into a separate bowl. Then add half of the flour mixture to the bowl with the sugar and egg mixture and whisk.

Add half of the milk to the bowl and beat again.

Next, repeat the process: add the remaining flour mixture and pour in the milk. The dough should be thick and creamy.

Line a baking pan with parchment paper, pour in the dough, and spread the apple filling over it.

Sprinkle the oatmeal crumbs evenly over the filling.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the apple cake with a crispy crust for 45-60 minutes, depending on your pan and oven features.

The cake must be cooled, then cut into portions and served with tea or coffee.

Bon appetit!
