Gingerbread Cookies Just Like the Movies: I'll Reveal the Recipe and All Its Secrets

Have you ever seen those gingerbread man-shaped cookies? They're often seen in movies and are somewhat of a mystery, but today I'll reveal the recipe and all its secrets.

Are you ready and excited for Christmas? I don't know about you, but I'm already working on several recipes I want to try before the big day, so I'm prepared and can make everything perfectly.

A long workout in the kitchen because at Christmas everything has to be perfect for the big day. So, I decided to start my holiday preparations with these little Zero men... just like the ones you see in American holiday movies.

Gingerbread Cookies: The Recipe Will No Longer Be a Secret

Tasty, delicious, and fragrant, gingerbread cookies are truly irresistible, and their aroma is somehow typical of Christmas. Here's the recipe for making our cookies:

700 grams of 00 flour, 5 grams of cloves, 5 grams of nutmeg, 10 grams of ground ginger, a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, 320 grams of sugar, 220 grams of butter, 100 grams of apples, 2 eggs.

The biscuits in question will be decorated with the special icing that has always characterised them and to make it we will only need the following ingredients:

300 grams of icing sugar, the whites of two eggs.

Gingerbread Cookies: Here's How to Make Them

To prepare our biscuits, we use a mixer to quickly obtain a smooth dough. Place the butter in a food processor along with the sugar, two eggs, and honey, blend everything together, and move on to the next step. Next, arrange the remaining ingredients on a table, including the flour, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, cloves, and baking soda.

We form a fountain, then transfer the previously prepared mixture and complete the preparation of our dough, which we will then wrap in cling film and leave to rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

The trick to a perfect plump complexion

We continue preparing the cookies with the icing, so we separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat them until stiff, gradually adding the powdered sugar. This will give us a smooth, even cream that we'll use only once the cookies are baked.

Baking and decorating cookies

We take cookie cutters shaped like little men or Christmas trees, prepare the cookies, and bake them at 170 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Once they're all ready, let them cool completely and then we're ready to make our declarations.

NB: the box you prepared previously can also be colored with vegetable dyes, to make the biscuits more beautiful and even more Christmas-themed.
