Easy at home! Recipe video and instructions for making rich sweet potato jelly

1. Preparation: Line the mold with parchment paper.

Ingredients · Servings 8×18×6cm
Method · PT7200S
  • 2. Slice the sweet potatoes into rounds, peel them thickly, soak them in water, and drain. Place the sweet potatoes and water (1 tablespoon, not included in the ingredients list) in a heatproof container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and heat in a 600W microwave for about 8 minutes, or until a bamboo skewer can easily pierce them. Drain the water.
  • 3. While the sweet potatoes are still hot, put all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth (sweet potato paste). Tip: Brown sugar can be substituted with the same amount of regular sugar.
  • 4. Place the sweet potato paste into a baking pan lined with parchment paper, removing any air bubbles. Cover the sweet potato paste tightly with plastic wrap and press down to smooth the surface. Chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Tip: If you don't have a loaf pan, you can use a baking tray or a square container instead.
  • 5. Remove from the mold and cut into slices. Tip: Since the loaf pan is trapezoidal, trimming the sides will result in a neater finish.
  • Q: What are some alternative methods if I don't have a food processor? A: You can make it by mashing the ingredients with a fork or potato masher and then straining them through a sieve.
